Client Council 13: Amplifying your employee volunteering programme with forgood!

Client Council is forgood’s annual event to celebrate and acknowledge the social impact achieved with its corporate clients. We showcase successful strategies of some of our client’s employee volunteering platforms, share knowledge and trends within the CSI space while also encouraging networking and collaborative discussions amongst clients.

This is a space where corporates who would otherwise acknowledge each other as competitors, have the opportunity to collaboratively tackle the exciting but nuanced sector of employee volunteering. It's about coming together for a common good, in service of making a difference.

On the 23rd of June 2022, Client Council left all in attendance inspired and eager to implement new projects, with the intention of mobilizing teams.

Here are some key highlights from our event held at The Johannesburg Country Club.

One of our clients Vodacom has been able to achieve great growth by transforming its graduate program through an NPO Business Challenge. Through this initiative, they have been able to engage their graduates by turning them into active citizens. Forgood noticed an increase in our corporates requesting initiatives that form part of their Environmental and Social Governance policies, and we responded with innovative CSI opportunities for our corporates. One such project is the eco-brick making workshop, where volunteers sign up to help one of our Causes, Khensani’s Collection, build an eco-centre that will provide sustainable education and community development to the community of Diepsloot.
