Help Cape Mental Health - CMH raise R150,000 for children with intellectual disabilities/education
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Dear Friend of Cape Mental Health HOW CAN YOU HELP? Currently, Cape Mental Health runs three community-based Special Education & Care Centres to meet the special needs of more than 180 children with severe and profound disabilities, aged between 3 and 18 years. These non-residential facilities draw children from poorly resourced communities in and around Heideveld, Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain. At Cape Mental Health, we believe that all children have a right to education, regardless of their intellectual disability. Four out of every 100 South Africans are affected by some level of intellectual disability that can range from mild (learners with special educational needs) to profound (those with the inability to walk, talk, feed themselves or use the toilet). Cape Mental Heath’s Special Education & Care programme is aimed at planning and implementing suitable interventions to meet the special needs of each child. SHOW YOU CARE BY SUPPORTING THE EDUCATION OF A CHILD TODAY. R4798,57 per year, per child. R479,85 per month, per child. R15,99 per day, per child. Education of a child with intellectual disability through a monthly donation is an act of profound generosity and compassion. Thank you for your contribution.
