Ditebogo day Care is a creche based in the Muldersdrift Community. It was founded by Dikeledi Makua, who has a deep passion for education despite facing challenges such as food insecurity, inadequate housing, and a lack of proper clothing. She currently runs this crèche, caring for 34 children between the ages of 0 and 6. Her goal is to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The main challenge is infrastructure, which needs to be upgraded to comply with Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) regulations while ensuring the centre remains a warm and loving space for the children. To achieve this, Dikeledi is seeking financial assistance through donations to help improve the creche’s facilities and create a better learning environment for the children in her care.
