Passionate about social media and empowering women in tech? Join GirlCode as a Volunteer Social Media Manager! Use your skills to grow our online presence, create impactful content, and make a difference. We are looking for volunteers in Botswana, Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Role: Manage and grow GirlCode's social media presence across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn). Create engaging content that aligns with GirlCode's mission and target audience. Monitor and respond to social media interactions (comments, DMs, mentions). Track and analyze social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, etc.). Essential Skills: Strong writing and communication skills: Ability to craft compelling social media posts, captions, and stories. Proficiency in social media platforms: Deep understanding of best practices for each platform (e.g., Instagram algorithms, Twitter trends). Excellent time-management and organizational skills: Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Passion for technology and education: Genuine interest in GirlCode's mission and the empowerment of young women in STEM. Desired Skills: Experience with social media scheduling tools: (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) Basic graphic design skills: (e.g., Canva) Experience with social media analytics tools: (e.g., Google Analytics)

- 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
