Help Hamba Bamba Funda by Donating ingredients for Jars of Hope for Caregivers

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

The Jar of Hope initiative brings a warm touch of compassion to families in need. Each jar is carefully filled with nutritious ingredients—rice, lentils, split peas, a stock cube, and soup powder. With just 4-5 cups of water and an hour of cooking, these jars provide a hearty meal capable of feeding a family of four. It’s a simple yet impactful way to spread joy and nourishment. This meaningful project is powered by the collaboration between the Flower Foundation and FERL (Food Evolution and Research Laboratory) at the University of Johannesburg, whose dedicated teams—ranging from old age home residents to university researchers and students—assemble these jars with care. By supporting Jar of Hope, you not only provide food to those who need it most but also nurture a strong sense of community and intergenerational connection. Please contact Monja Boonzaier (monja.boonzaier@hambabambafunda.org) if you would like to donate ingredients for the Jars.
