Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
September 2020 saw the opening of the National Institute for the Deaf’s charity shop, NID Fabulous Finds. Being a Non Profit Company, NID is responsible to generate more than 90% of our budget, and therefore we run various projects on an annual basis to fund our programmes and operations. The NID Fabulous Finds charity shop was opened as an income-generating initiative to the benefit of the Deaf and persons with hearing loss at NID. The aim of the shop is to sell second-hand clothes, books, and any other household items to the community at reasonable prices and thus generate funds for NID's services to multiple-disabled and elderly Deaf residents. The shop also offers the opportunity for people who are unpacking their wardrobes or remodelling their homes to donate their second-hand items, thereby making a difference in the lives of the multiple disabled and elderly Deaf at NID. After four successful years, the shop's customer base and the community's need for affordable second-hand goods have expanded tremendously, and we are extremely grateful for the support that we receive from our donors and the community as we solely depend on donations to stock the shop. The shop is open Tuesdays to Fridays, and the last Saturday of each month. For more information WhatsApp to 063 464 8197 or email to fr.nid@nid.org.za.
