The Human Rights Screened Foundation will be hosting an Awards & GBV Fundraising Gala Dinner on 27 April 2024 (Freedom Day) in the Western Cape. The proceeds from this enchanting Fairytale themed Fancy Dress Dinner will go towards two very much needed interventions with regard to Gender Based Violence in South Africa. The main objective of the projects is to allow GBV Victims and Families to " Live Happily Ever After". #dontbenext 1. The Launch of the Universal Hand Signal for Help Campaign. The simple one handed hand signal is compulsory for South African citizens to be aware of. The elements will include a Guide on how to be a Hand Signal Responder, Mini Courses, Downloadable Guide on how to be a responder, Podcasts , Bumper Stickers, Billboards, Guerilla Marketing, all Social Media platforms with a special focus on Tik Tok Videos in all major SA Languages and a mass distribution of printed materia 2. Anti-GBV Film Festivals across South Africa. Successful outcomes of the Film Festivals rolled out in the Western Cape sees the need for this initiative to be rolled out across all 9 Provinces for maximum and measurable impact. To provide hope and a better future for GBV Victims and their families the programme includes workshops and talks that are facilitated by the National Prosecuting Authority, SAPS and the Department of Social Development.
