World Speech Day South Africa's mission is to empower youth to use their voices as instruments of change; by providing a platform for this purpose and by cultivating their confidence and capacity with skills in several developmental areas. World Speech Day South Africa evolved from an annual event where youth are encouraged to speak up and speak out about matters they care about; to a year round calendar of events which include connecting youth from schools and NPOs to youth in other countries. In April 2018, we launched the WSD ZA United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Book Club at the Tshwane Leadesrhip Foundation. We are now expanding it to Ratiepane and Makapanstad (and hope to extend our reach via ForGood). In 2019, we launched the WSD Future Ready Skills Development Program. This Program comprises workshops on Leadership, Social Cohesion, Communication, Entrepreneurship and Active Citizenship. While the Program is housed on the Udemy platform for the purposes of ...
