The Wentworth Arts and Culture Organisation

The Wentworth Arts and Culture Organisation's vision is to effect socio-economic change and have a parallel connection with training and development initiatives. The community believes that arts and culture is a right because it is a fundamental part of humanity; instilling life values. At the organisation we focus on dance as a medium for physical, emotional, education and mental health. The demographic reach is, but not limited to, youth, women, children, HIV positive members of the community and people living with disabilities. Since establishment in 1994, the Wentworth Arts and Culture Organisation has used Arts & Culture for empowerment of marginalised communities specifically through youth development, social development, social cohesion and nation building, as well as poverty alleviation.
