We assist families and communities with dispute settlement. The Social Justice Foundation Association of Mediators provide accreditation for family mediators and assist with cpd training of mediators. We have a network of mediators across South Africa that have to do at lease three probono mediators per annum as part of the renewal of accreditation. The mediators assist families with calculation of maintenance for minors, drafting of parenting plans, re-unification of minors in foster care with parents, divorces, spousal maintenance, domestic violence cases. In Gauteng our mediators assist 10 000 families per quarter (40 000 families). Mediation saves time and emotional stress of going to court. We work with the Department of Social Development to assist families.
