MICM Heritage Day Celebrations.

On September 21, 2024, the Morris Isaacson Centre for Music (MICM) hosted a spectacular heritage music event in the afternoon, celebrating the rich cultural diversity of our community. The concert was expertly guided by renowned pianist Yonela Mnana, who served as the master of ceremonies. The MICM teachers set the tone with a beautiful joint performance, followed by captivating sets from the MICM Jazz Ensemble, Djembe Ensemble, Pennywhistle Ensemble, and finally, the MICM Orchestra, which brought the house down with an unforgettable closing performance. Audience members were treated to an afternoon of exceptional musical talent, with each ensemble showcasing their unique styles and contributions to South Africa's vibrant heritage.
