HIVSA (www.hivsa.com) was established in 2002 with the aim of providing psychosocial support to individuals infected and affected by HIV. We are a non clinical partner that implements programmes at a community level through the capacity building of local community- based organisations. In the past HIVSA has support the Department of Health through health system strengthening initiatives such as community based HIV testing and screening, linkage to care and treatment and the training of Community Health Workers. In its community system strengthening programme arm, HIVSA's interventions are targeted at Orphans and Vulnerable Children and Youth (OVCY) with a specific focus on Children and Adolescents living with HIV and children of key populations such as sex workers. We also have a digital health magazine, Choma (www.choma.co.za), which aims to reduce HIV prevalence among girls and young women.
