GEMM LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

The vision of GLA is to unearth the potential of young people in the Eastern Cape Province and to come alongside them to create sustainable communities through education. This vision is to be achieved through the implementation of three programmes namely: (i) A high school for grade 8 – 12 offering the subjects as prescribed in the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) with a specific focus on Agriculture and Entrepreneurship. Agricultural Management Practice is introduced in grade 10 as a compulsory subject which combines elements of Agriculture, Economics and Accounting. Learners in grades 8 and 9 will be exposed to Agriculture and Entrepreneurship through the subject Economic and Management Sciences (EMS) as well as the linkages of all subjects to Entrepreneurship.
