Chiedza is a community based organisation based in Harare Zimbabwe, founded in 2001 that aims to improve the quality of life for orphaned, vulnerable children, young people and their families. We run a pre-school for children between the ages of 4 to 6 years who are not able to afford fees in conventional pre-schools. We identify at least 110 primary school children who are out of school every year and help them with catch up lessons before we reintegrate them to formal schools. We identify at least 150 young people who are out of school and help them complete secondary education. Upon completion, the young people are supported to pursue a vocational course of their choice. Those who excel can pursue a degree at public universities. We provide 2 hot meals to at least 250 children twice daily.
