Our Empowering Abilities program is dedicated to the upliftment of unemployed, disadvantaged youth with disabilities and their communities. Our mission is the provide comprehensive support and opportunities for growth to over 150 youth per year. Through our accredited and skills development programs we equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to gain a qualification and obtain formal employment or become business owners themselves. APD has been established as an NPO for 83 years, and to date has positively impacted the lives of over 87, 000 persons with disabilities. 85% of learners trained are permanently employed or have become established Business owners. 1000’s of jobs have been created and Businesses opened.
