7th Heaven Children's Haven NPC

7th Heaven Children’s Haven was founded by Nelly Senong to provide a loving and disciplined Christian home to children taken into care due to severe neglect and/or abuse. Our mission is to give these children back their dignity and sense of self worth, to help them grow to be valued members of society. Nelly is Montessori trained and we have a small classroom for the little ones to attend pre-school at the Haven, whilst in the afternoons the older ones can do homework and extra tuition there. Nelly also has training to deal with Alcohol Foetal Syndrome in babies, counselling and play therapy. Our programmes to help the children develop and grow in self confidence include arts and crafts, gymnastics (which they love), singing and swimming. Education is a challenge and also health as the children are often very underdeveloped or ill when they come to us. We thank the volunteers, and specialists who help us here. Fund raising is also a challenge.
