CCMT works to transform the ways in which societies deal with conflict - away from adversarial approaches and towards collaborative problem solving. Using a multi-faceted approach, we partner with local government, civil society, and communities to find culturally appropriate means to strengthen societies' capacity to deal with conflicts constructively. The nature and scope of our work has evolved over the years as we continue to learn, grow, and develop as an organization. Since its formation, CCMT mainly worked in the suburbs of Harare building the capacities of ordinary community members in dealing with everyday conflicts affecting communities through Community Associations, but gradually expanded its work to the Midlands Province.
