Help New BeginningZ CYCC with 3 volunteers for taking memory box photos of babies and toddlers

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

At New BeginningZ, we believe that every child deserves to feel loved, valued, and remembered. For children in alternative care, memory profiles are a vital way of preserving their stories, milestones, and cherished moments—giving them a sense of identity and belonging for years to come. We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to help us keep these memory profiles updated. This involves creating and maintaining personalised scrapbooks or digital albums for each child, ensuring their treasured memories are captured and preserved. By volunteering, you’ll be giving more than just your time—you’ll be giving these children a connection to their past and a gift they can carry into the future. If you have a passion for storytelling, creativity, and a heart for making a difference, we’d love to have you join us in this meaningful activity. Whether you’re great at organising photos, writing heartfelt captions, or simply lending a helping hand, your contribution can make a world of difference. Being able to only assist with photos would also be perfect!

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
