Help Bombani Shelter for Abused Women and Children by donating paint for Shelter maintenance

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Bombani Shelter is currently facing financial constraints that limit its ability to carry out essential maintenance. We are in urgent need of paint and painting materials to refresh deteriorating walls, screw-on light bulbs to ensure safe and functional lighting throughout the facility, and a lawn mower to maintain our outdoor spaces. These items are vital in creating a clean, safe, and dignified environment for survivors of gender-based violence. Support in this regard will significantly enhance the well-being of both residents and staff.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
