Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Many children in our community face significant challenges with reading and learning due to a lack of access to books, quiet study spaces and personalized support. These struggles often lead to low confidence, poor academic performance and limited opportunities later in life. Despite their potential, these young learners are being left behind because they don't receive the foundation help they need in the early stages of their education. Families are doing their best, but many homes lack resources like books, internet access, or a quiet corner to study, Schools are often overcrowded, and teachers don't always have time to give each child the attention they deserve . The Reading Room, based at the iconic Robert Sobukwe's Office, addresses this gap by offering a dedicated space where children can learn at their own pace, in a supportive and empowering environment. It not only promotes literacy but also honors Sobukwe's legacy of education, justice and upliftment. By supporting this project, you're not just helping children read, learn and play-you helping them imagine, dream and build a better future for themselves and their community.
