Current Projects
We continue to grow our AET reach by engaging on the projects as listed below.
During the 2015/2016 financial year a total number of 8257 AET learners were reached in nine provinces, mainly through the ABSA/ Barclays Community Project (ABSA Foundation), MQA, LG SETA, CATHSSETA, SAPS, DAFF (FP & M SETA), Goldfields South Deep Mines, DIRCO, SAFCOL, StonCor Africa, Dept. of Energy and other smaller Corporate Clients. In partnership with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and The Department of Social Development we were able to train DSD Officials and other IOM members as CCE Facilitators on the Community Capacity Enhancement Programme Nationally. We were able to sustain the RHTR programme in North West and Limpopo through generous donations received from mainly South African corporate donors, and expand it into Mpumalanga and Gauteng. We thank FH Chamberlains. The Oppenheimer Memorial Trust, FNB Tshikululu Social Investments, Herman Ohlthaver Foundation, National Lotteries Commission, SA Commission for UNESCO, The Carl and Emily Fuchs Foundation, CAF Give as you Earn, Rand Water Foundation, Afripalm, King James/ Bells Whisky, Woolworths My School My Village My Planet, Imperial Managed Logistics, Clarity Charity, Exclusive Books, SA Book Development Council, Arbalest, Golden Key International, Australian Books for Children, Pulp Books and others. The Goldfields South Deep Mines’ contract was once again renewed for the 2015/ 2016 financial year with an even higher intake of learners quarterly. We serve both employed and community learners surrounding the mine and have achieved great success with the project since its inception in 2012. We have actively been venturing into new heights with our FLC training programme and are looking at extending the scope of what we offer through looking at extension of scope with the MQA and entering into mutually beneficial partnerships with other providers.
