THE VERY HAPPY STORY OF GRADY MONDO.

HOW YOUR SHARING HELPS AND WHY YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED.

Grady Mondo was missing since 15 July 2019, and then on 9th August MCSA received a call - Lettie Motsitsi, a nurse from Steve Biko hospital, said she’d seen our flyer and that Grady was in the hospital and unidentified until then! Grady is mentally disabled and cannot speak and therefore they did not know who he was. They tried contacting the authorities, but had no feedback from them. Grady had been hit by a car just after going missing. He was in ICU, and when he was moved to the normal ward, he ended up with Lettie who took care of him, and tried to help identify him. Lisa Marie Venter, a student nurse from Pretoria University, also assisted in helping. After Lettie contacted MCSA, we called Grady's mother and informed her of the good news. She was overjoyed, and beyond grateful to hear that her son was found alive. On the morning of 10th August, she was finally reunited with Grady who was delighted to see his mom. MCSA is privileged to be part of this happy ending and being able to reunite mother and child. Grady’s mother could not thank us enough and the relief of having found her son brought tears to our eyes. She sent us this personal message: 'Thank you for the great job you do of helping people, it was not going to be possible without you'.
