Imagine waking up every morning, knowing that each day will be an uphill battle, and the simple tasks we take for granted are huge challenges. Now, add to that the burden of a limited income, dependents who rely on you, and no one to turn to for help. Our new NOAH Khayelitsha Centre and Clinic is nearly ready to open — a space designed to bring health, hope, and a sense of belonging to our elders in one of Cape Town’s most underserved areas. But there’s a critical problem. We need to raise R15,000 to install a handrail and a 7m wheelchair ramp.This simple addition will turn stressful visits into empowering experiences, giving our elders their dignity and confidence back. The need is urgent. Every day without a ramp will be a day our elders will struggle and feel trapped by their lack of mobility and dependence upon others.
