Help DANCERS LOVE DOGS by donating towards the R100 000 needed for Phase 2 of our mass sterilisation project in Graafwater

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Dancers Love Dogs in collaboration with National Sterilization Project, are funding a mass sterilisation project of cats and dogs in Graafwater, an impoverished community situated 300km north of Cape Town. We are working with African Tails and LEAPS (arrangements on the ground) and Envirovet CVC (sterilisations) The goal is to ‘clean’ up the area to 80% sterilised. Further to the door-to-door census of a representative sample of households conducted by Dr Roos of Envirovet, an estimated 535 animals need to be sterilised to achieve this target. During our March outreach, 230 animals were sterilised leaving a balance of 305. Our project in September 2024 targets the next 200. Once the ‘golden’ 80% sterilised target is reached, LEAPS have committed to ‘maintaining’ the area to keep the pet population stable.
