The Wear Your Brand Foundation's aim and purpose is to pave the way for SMME's .

Thursday the 3rd of November 2022, the Wear Your Brand Foundation hosted a media briefing with the intention of outlining adequate media coverage towards the launch of the Wear Your Brand Magazine. Wanna grow your small business? Wear your Brand Foundation’s aim and purpose is to create more opportunities and pave the way for small businesses. They have already collaborated with big brands such as ABSA and Vodacom. The WYB foundation is formed by SMMEs and informal traders who are working together to break boundaries and excel and growing each other’s businesses. On the 1st of October the Wear Your Brand Foundation was marking its first anniversary since the inception of the foundation. In such a short period of time , the WYB foundation already had 504 SMMEs in their business hub. Thulisile Khumalo, a street vendor shared her testimony based on how much the WYB foundation has changed the lives of street vendors. “ Street traders love you so much and they are still hoping that you will do a lot more for them”, said Thulisile. Wear Your Brand Foundation does not only focus on helping small businesses to grow but also help unemployed graduates by shaping their skills and help them create and find job opportunities. Nothando Mazibuko the Head Public Liaison explained that their strategy as the Wear Your Brand Foundation to reach out to unemployment graduates is through their social media accounts, activations and drives to universities and communities. “WYB foundation is so focused, so disciplined”, Siyabonga Savego Mavuso also gave his testimony to explain his experience with working with the WYB foundation. Wear Your Brand is driven by their popular #fromthestreets which emphasizes the fact that they started from just a braai union at the beach. Mr Selby Gumede, the President of the Wear Your Brand Foundation explained how much they have grown from just meeting up and getting to share ideas at a braai union by the beach. On the 17th of December 2022 the WYB foundation was officially launching the WYB Magazine, a publication that is focused more to the heart of business affairs. The magazine is available at hotels, airports, business hubs, etc. free of charge. During the launch of their magazine there was a business master class and a Golf day and other activities.
