How can you help?

Help Scouts South Africa with 8 volunteers for creating media for our alumni programme launch

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

We are in the process of launching a brand new alumni programme for SCOUTS South Africa, to create new opportunities for past members to remain engaged with the organisation and help support our growth and public perception. We are looking for people to support with the rollout and launch campaign of this alumni programme, especially with creating assets for social media and other distribution, as well as bringing their exciting and crazy ideas to the table. We're very excited for the launch of this programmer and hope to get a few volunteers on board to support. There is support available for reviewing and ideating.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
