As a volunteer tutor, I can offer personalized, patient, and dedicated support to learners. With my degree in BEd Foundation Phase, I have a strong foundation in teaching core subjects such as literacy, numeracy, and life skills. I can help learners understand difficult concepts, build their confidence, and improve their academic performance. I can also offer creative and engaging learning activities that cater to different learning styles, ensuring that lessons are both effective and enjoyable. My experience in home tutoring and working with multiple primary schools allows me to adapt to various educational settings and provide individualized support where it’s most needed. Beyond academic help, I am passionate about fostering a positive and encouraging environment, helping learners develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and study skills that will benefit them long-term. Individual's background

My name is Gugu Zwane, and I am a 25-year-old University of Johannesburg alumni, soon to be graduating. I completed my degree in a BEd Foundation Phase and am eager to explore and learn more through volunteering. I have provided home tutoring for a few months and have taught at more than five primary schools throughout my degree. I want to give back through volunteering because I believe in the power of education to transform lives. Throughout my studies and teaching experiences, I’ve seen firsthand how support and mentorship can make a significant impact on learners' development. Volunteering would allow me to contribute to my community, share the knowledge and skills I’ve gained, and continue learning from others. It’s an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those who may not have the same resources, while also growing both personally and professionally.
