Siyakwazi is a community-based organisation founded in 2013 who support children with disabilities and barriers to learning under the age of 7 within rural communities in the UGU District, KZN, currently in the kwaNzimakwe and kwaXolo tribal authorities. These areas are amongst the poorest and most under-resourced in KZN. Only 26,4 % of adults are employed and 27.2% have a matric. Through working alongside Masakhane, a locally based Community Care centre. a need to provide targeted support for children with disabilities was recognised, Siyakwazi was formed to provide inclusive services for all children and their families, through home-based programmes as well as support for ECD centres and local schools. Our Vision: We want to see inclusive communities where all children 0-7 years are given equal opportunities to learn.
