About Our Early Childhood Development Centre
We are committed to providing a free and responsible service to the community. We are committed to extending these services into as many disadvantaged areas as possible.
We have 120 pre-schoolers in our ECD centre, aged between 6 months and 5 years. The pre-schoolers are divided into 4 age groups: 6 months – 2 years, 3 Years, 4 years, 5 years – Grade R. All our pre-schoolers come from the disadvantaged communities of Daveyton. We do not charge any fees. Admission is based on strict criteria focussing on children from: Child-headed households, Single parent households, Households run by a guardian, Households where the parents are unemployed. The centre is managed by 8 full-time caregivers and we teach according to the CAPS curriculum.
