More about Child & Youth Care

The organization’s vision is to ensure that all Zimbabweans living with rare disease have access to early diagnosis, lifelong treatment, care and socio-economic support. Our mission is to ensure every rare disease patient has access to quality, affordable care and treatment services in order to reduce morbidity and mortality. CYC is able to identify people affected by rare conditions and set up different support groups for them. We are focused on improving the quality of life of families living with a rare disease. We endeavor to raise awareness through education and advocacy for people living with rare diseases and their families; to identify previously unidentified patients and facilitate access to timely and accurate diagnosis through genetic testing and development of intervention therapies.
