Raising Up Friendship Foundation (RUFFO) was founded in 2021 in Tanzania with a mission to protect and promote the rights and well-being of children and women in underserved communities. The idea for the organization emerged from the recognition of the significant challenges facing vulnerable children and women, particularly in rural areas and urban slums. These challenges included child abuse, violence against women, lack of access to education, poor healthcare services, and limited economic opportunities. The foundation's origin is rooted in the experiences and dedication of its founder, Hilda Ngaja, a social welfare expert passionate about addressing these pressing issues.
