Cheka Sana Tanzania

Cheka Sana Tanzania is a non-profit organization that has been working in Tanzania for over a decade, focusing on the welfare of street-connected children, youth and their families. Their initiatives aim to provide these children with a sense of belonging and love, ensuring that no child has to live or work on the streets.The organization was founded by Mutani Yangwe, who initially started it as an environmental club in 2005 with the name Caretakers of the Environment Tanzania (COET). By 2007, COET was registered as an NGO with Reg. No. 14NGO/1878. In 2013, COET began receiving institutional grants from various international organizations, which allowed them to expand their impact on street-connected children and later, in 2017, COET it was renamed the name to Cheka Sana Tanzania (CST) with Reg.
