Pamudzi Pathu Initiative

The Pamudzi Pathu Initiative (PPI), based in Malawi, is a woman-led NGO focused on fostering socially and economically empowered communities by addressing systemic injustices and inequalities. PPI collaborates with stakeholders and community members to enhance local capacities and tackle societal challenges. Currently, PPI aims to repair 200 non-functional boreholes in Malawi as part of its safe water campaign. With funding from Friends of Malawi (FOMA), the initiative has so far restored 10 boreholes in Nkhata Bay District. women and girls walk long distances to fetch water putting them at risk of gender-based violence.
