HOPE for Girls at VISA is a community based organization that is based in Kegonga, Migori County in Kenya that exists to provide safe shelter to vulnerable girls running away from female genital mutilation. Beyond the safe shelter, we support their education especially transition from primary school to secondary school and universities or colleges. Additionally, we provide them with life skills and mentorship sessions so that they are able to make their own decisions. We run after school mentorship clubs in 7 schools within Kuria East and 4 schools in Masurura location. We envision an empowered girl and a community that supports girls to thrive.
