Embracing the culture of reading

Havens Community Library and E-learning Centre. A community library as a social enterprise combines the mission of providing access to knowledge and learning resources with a sustainable business model that addresses social, educational, and cultural needs. As a social enterprise and subsidiary of Hands of Help Children's Organization , we are Mission-Driven as our primary goal is to foster literacy, education, and community development rather than generating profit. Sustainability: Unlike traditional libraries that rely heavily on grants or public funding, our model uses income-generating activities to sustain operations and expand services and in this case we have started by charging a very small fee on our literacy and educational services. We therefore call upon the like-minded organizations and individuals to collaboration/partner with us in promoting literacy activities in the informal and rural communities.
