Majuba
What are we currently doing?
Majuba aims to develop a system for residents and their needs, especially around exam times. We also aim to have a year project with one community partner with various aspects such as renovation, youth programs, tutoring/mentoring, workshops and drives (survey will be done to determine community needs). HK will donate R156 off their salaries for first year clothing and will get more donations. Every term, there will be a visit to the SPCA with a different community partner.
What else can you do?
Community service has been an integral part of Stellenbosch University (SUN) for decades albeit in different forms and with shifting emphasis. This platform allows you to make social impact within the university's (7) CSI themes.
