About this campaign
Mandela Day, celebrated on July 18, is an annual international day adopted by the United Nations. It is more than a celebration of Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy; it is a global movement to take his life’s work into a new era and change our world for the better.
The theme for 2021 is: One Hand can Feed Another.
As South Africans we embrace the chance to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s life for the whole of July.
This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our #MandelaDay will be mostly digital! This means you can volunteer safely from your home or office – by using your skills and interests to help a Cause – online! There is so much good that can be done virtually – coaching, mentoring, finance, tech support, marketing. You can also purchase much needed items online and arrange to have them delivered to the Cause of your choice. And of course a monetary donation goes a long way too.
Find something you’re interested in and take part in digital #MandelaDay!
Using Nelson Mandela’s own words: “It’s in your hands to make the world a better place.”
