Help The Character Company with 5 volunteers for transporting our boys to camp twice a month

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

A part of our long-term MENtorship programme is offering our boys an opportunity to experience camping. We believe that camping with the boys is an effective way to build a strong relationship that allows us to speak into the lives of the boys. Furthermore, it gives us the opportunity to expose the boys to various activities through which they can learn and grow. It is a time for fun, adventure, bonding and learning; a time for reinforcing values, breaking barriers, and an opportunity to step out of our comfort zones. Therefore, we need transport (mini bus) to be able to transport our boys from our pick up spot in Northgate at 14H00 to our campsite in B'sorah twice a month for the whole year and from B'sorah at 11H00 to Northgate. For further information, please contact Thando at thando.ch@racter.co.za or alternatively on his mobile number at 082 597 7667

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
