How can you help?

Help Sikhula Sonke Early Childhood Development by donating outdoor play equipment and jungle gyms for our preschools in the informal areas of Khayelitsha.

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Sikhula Sonke is setting up playgrounds in the informal areas to encourage gross motor development in preschool age children. This complements our outreach programmes which bring literacy, crafts, play and toys to children who cannot access preschool due to financial and social constraints. By providing safe spaces for play, we protect children and nurture their physical, social and mental development. Our facilitators also support parents and help strengthen families.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.

  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
