Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Our Centre believes in family preservation, therefore family reunification is given focused attention, with the importance of early intervention and preventative work being recognised. During each term cases are reviewed. Depending on the results of the case reviews those children whom have families are given the opportunity to go home to spend time with their families for the school holidays. Many of our children are from underprivileged homes and cannot afford basic meals. Some of our children are on Antiretroviral treatment and cannot risk missing a meal as they cannot take their medication on an empty stomach. The Durban Child & Youth Care Centre has implemented the “Buckets of Love Campaign” to help meet this need, by seeking assistance from our friends and supporters to assist us in arranging food parcels for our kids during the school holidays.

  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
