The power of storytelling came full circle for The Parent Centre on Tuesday 27 February 2024, when we hosted a Birth Stories Discussion Group for previous and current participants of our Positive Parenting Skills Training. Mothers shared about labour, birth, seeing babies for the first time and who supported them. Facilitators bebunked myths about labour, contraception, fetal distress, c-sections, heart beat monitors and much more. Mothers walked away feeling empowered, understood, validated and that their stories were relatable and meaningful. #Family strengthening #Birth stories
