More about Tales of Turning

At Tales of Turning we believe that our youth are our future. Youth in South Africa are facing numerous challenges including poverty, inequality, poor healthcare, violence, HIV/AIDS and poor education standards. In order to help our youth reach their full potential Tales of Turning runs mothers’ programs in under-resourced communities. In response to the high rate of violence against women across the globe, Tales of Turning developed a project with young men to discuss what it means to be a man and to bring men together to stand against gender based violence. Tales of Turning develops and implements projects to meet individual and community needs, informed by narrative therapy and strengths-based approaches, and delivered in partnership with non-government organisations (NGOs), ethical businesses and like-minded individuals to increase impact.
