Santa Shoebox Project - Mandela Day 2019 - Canal Walk

June 2019 Enthusiastic help of teams of supporters sign up to do their 67-minutes of service in pre-allocated shifts between 09:00 and 18:00. Teams are made up of 7 or 8 people, dressed in their corporate regalia to make the most of great media coverage and PR opportunities. What will be required of volunteers on the day - 1. Arrive 15-minutes before your allotted shift to register 2. Assemble flat-packed Shoeboxes, sponsored by Stor-Age 3. Fill the Shoebox with LOVE and all 8 required components - • Toothbrush & toothpaste - sponsored by Procter & Gamble • Facecloth & soap - sponsors TBC • Sweets - sponsored by Manhattan Sweets • Toys - sponsors include RNA Distribution and Bargain Books • Stationery - sponsors include Trefoil & Dala • Clothing or clothing voucher - supplied by PEP Stores As well as extra items - • Book Dash books - sponsored by MySchool • A lunchbox and water bottle - sponsored by Addis 4. Write a note to the child and / or include a photo of yourself (optional and MUCH loved!) 5. Tag the box by age and gender 6. Pack the Shoeboxes into cartons en route to the children! 7. REPEAT ;) 8. Snap a photo of yourself or your team in front of StorAge Shoebox Christmas Tree VSS are allocated to profoundly underprivileged children living in far-flung rural communities with little or no access to support of any kind.
