HEARTS OF HOPE

Hearts of Hope has been in operation since 2003, having begun as a group of volunteers in 1997. We pride ourselves in our strong governance procedures and operating systems. Since 2008, over 190 children have lived in the home. Every year we have 15-18 children leave to be reunited with extended family or to be adopted. How do we do this? • 52 babies and children in a home with 7 children and a house mother. • Nutrition: the provision of over 71 000 meals on an annual basis to ensure a balanced diet and meeting of dietary needs • Education: from welcoming them home to saying good-bye whether that period starts at 6 months or finishes at 18, the children are provided with the best possible education interventions that sets them on their future path • Remedial and developmental interventions: each child has access to therapeutic care in the forms of play therapy, extra lessons and homework assistance, psychological care • Medical and health care: daily monitoring and partnerships ...
