At Hamba Bamba Funda (HBF), our mission is to break the cycle of poverty and inequality by empowering caregivers in under-resourced communities through transformative early childhood education. We believe the first 1,000 days of a child’s life are critical for laying the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being. By equipping caregivers with quality training and practical tools, we help children reach their full potential. As a pioneering program, we champion black economic empowerment, prioritizing support for 100% black women and children. Through evidence-based approaches like movement, touch, and play, we empower caregivers to nurture children from birth. Our interventions span caregiver training, direct child support, and ETDP SETA-accredited ECD practitioner programs (SAQA 58761 FETC), all designed to create lasting change.
