Greendale House Palliative & Hospice Care (HospiceWits)

Greendale House (Formerly HospiceWits) provides care and support for people with life-threatening and terminal illnesses like Cancer, Dementia, and TB/HIV, in both Soweto and Johannesburg. We use a holistic, interdisciplinary team approach and provide Palliative care for people in need. Home-based care forms the basis of our care work, however, we also have an In-Patient Unit in Houghton, should patients need to be admitted for pain management or respite care. Due to the massive impact life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, heart & organ failure, HIV/AIDS and many others, have on our society, hospitals and health clinics do not have the Palliative care capacity and experience to deal with the growing numbers of patients requiring this special care for life-threatening illnesses.
