improving the owl enclosure!

After several weeks of hard work, the new owl enclosure is finally ready.

Over the past few weeks, our dedicated team of volunteers at DAKTARI has been hard at work, bringing positive changes to the owl enclosure. First and foremost, our volunteers have expanded and enriched the owls' living space, allowing them more room to stretch their wings and exercise. We've introduced more natural elements like perches, trees, and shrubbery to mimic their natural habitat, creating a more stimulating and comfortable environment. We were able to observe positive changes in their attitude within a few days. First of all, we noticed that the owls now occupy the whole space of their enclosure, and are no longer content with just one place to sleep. What's more, some of the owls have started to fly more, so much so that we're beginning to think that some might soon be rehabilitated. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our volunteers, the owl enclosure has been transformed into a healthier and happier space for these magnificent birds of prey. These improvements not only benefit the owls but also enhance our educational programs, allowing us to share the importance of owl conservation with our students!
